Straddling stars, in astral garden Stands the boy, helmed and hardened
Between two doors, Heaven and Hell Shield and spear and magic spell
Inclined chin and grinning smirk The boy begins his gruesome work
“Open the gates Send angel armies and demon legions To fight me
“And I promise you, girl, You’ve never seen a heart So Mighty”
Golden grim, unready to die Brutal choir and battlecry
And so he toils, More invincible than Achilles They may stab true “But they can’t kill me
“Pierce the plate, Silver sword, stabbing, Touch my heart, Fluttered, flagging.”
Yet it beats Though it is broken Yet it breathes Though it is choking Yet it beats Though it is broken Yet it breathes Though it is choking Yet it beats Though it is broken Yet it breathes Though it is choking
Unbruised, unharmed Bloodless and black Unrelentingly futile The divine attack
An endless field of shattered metal A single tear and peony petal
Slammed down visor and hardened eyes Endless battle and rainbow skies
He grins to infinity, iron-bloomed heart, Squares his shoulders for masterpiece art
Abandon all hope? Defy, defy. Forgive and repent? Deny, deny.
Eternal rage and endless peace Beautiful, unsightly Pyrrhic boy with a heart So Mighty
